Our secret process removes the harsh terpenes from the lemon oil, maintaining a crisp, fresh taste for years. Use Pure Lemon Extract in any recipe where lemons, lemon juice, or lemon zest are called for. Either substitute lemon zest for 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of lemon extract or add the same amount to enhance fresh lemons and lemon juice for a really zesty lemon flavor that can’t be beat.

Recommended Usage:

In standard single batches, use 1/4 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon. As a condiment, use dropper to add 1-2 drops to taste. Finally, for wholesale applications, use 2 to 4 ounces per 5 gallons (40 pounds) of mix. Shelf life is 1095 days from manufacture. Manufacture date is listed as UDC. Store in a cool, dry, dark container away from sunlight.

    My Cook’s Lemon Extract is lovely to work with. The taste in my baked goods is fantastic and even just smelling the extract in the bottle is yum! Other extracts I’ve used smelled tart indeed, but lacked a true lemon flavor. That was my goal in searching out a new brand because lemon for me is more than just tart, it’s a taste and this extract captures it wonderfully.

    Applied to skin, clothing, or other surfaces discourages insects from landing or climbing on that surface. Use small art type paint brush to apply on the surface you do not want insects to cross.
